How To Get Involved in 7/8 Sports

Every school offers numerous athletic opportunities for our students. If you are new to middle school athletics you can check your students school website or contact the schools Athletic Coordinator for more information. Our District Athletics are broken into 3 Conferences: 1A, 2A, And 3A.

DVUSD provides both AIA sanctioned sports as well as club sports. Our list of offered sports is below. Club sports are non-cut and in some instances also offers opportunities for our 5th and 6th grade students, you will need to check with your individual campus for these options.

DVUSD 7/8 Athletics currently offers numerous opportunities for our middle school students. All AIA designated sports are currently available to 7th and 8th graders including. Volleyball, basketball, spirit line, Baseball and Softball. Our 7/8 only schools also offer opportunities with Wrestling and Track and field as well as split their teams into 7th and 8th grade. 7th grade teams will play in their own league and 8th grade teams will play K-8 schools within their conference. All schools also offer club sports such as Cross Country. Our club sports are non-cut sports and many schools offer this opportunity to students in grades 5-8. We continue to work on developing these current opportunities and will look to expand to new sports in the future.
